Since February 2013 – Professor of the Department of History of Philosophy, Faculty of Philosophy, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

May 2014 – He was awarded the academic title of Professor.

June 2014 – January 2015 – Head of the Department of History of Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Kyiv National University.

January 2009 – April 2021 – Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

March 24, 2021 – He was elected Rector of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv by secret ballot. By order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, he was appointed Rector of the University from 30 April 2021 to 29 April 2026.

He is the author of more than 100 scientific and educational works. Supervisor of 5 candidates of philosophical sciences.

Prof. Bugrov has the following awards: Excellence in Education of Ukraine (2001), Honoured Worker of Education of Ukraine (2014), Order of Merit, 3rd Class (2017).

Member of the National Support Group for the Bologna Process. Co-author of the Strategic Development Plan of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Member of working groups on the development of more than ten regulations in the field of higher education.
