Biography
Silvia Macchia is a professor of business economics at the Department of Economics and Business Sciences at the University of Cagliari, Italy. She teaches Management Accounting and International Financial Reporting at the Faculty of Economics and Loyal Sciences, University of Cagliari. She graduated from the University of Cagliari in 2002. In 2005, she completed her PhD in Business Economics after the MSc in accounting and finance at the Business School of the University of Birmingham. She is a member of SIDREA, the Italian Society of Business Economics Scholars. She joined several PRIN and PNRR projects and is the author of several scientific publications, including book chapters and articles in Italian and international journals. She has worked as a consultant for several companies in the private sector. Currently, her research interests are Management Control Systems, Value Creation Models, and the role of AI in business decision-making.
