Biography

A graduate and doctor of the Jagiellonian University (1972, 1975 and 1977), doctor habilitated at the University of Warsaw (1991).
Professor at the Warsaw School of Economics, Medical University of Lodz and the Social Academy of Sciences. Earlier – assistant professor at the Polish Academy of Sciences. A lecturer at the Jagiellonian University, Warsaw University, Saskatchewan University (Saskatoon), York University (Toronto), College of Insurance and Banking and the University of Economics and Computer Science, where he organized the Department of Insurance and served as its manager for six years. Organizer and head of the Department of Health Protection Policy at the Medical University of Lodz (since 2004). Since 2015 director of the Center for Health Protection and Health Policy Strategy Studies at the SGH Economic and Social College. Fulbright USIA scholarship holder at American University (Washington 1994).
Founder (1989) and director of the National Insurance Institute in Warsaw.
