Oleksii Nishchyk

Oleksii graduated from the Faculty of Computer Science and Cybernetics at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 2018. In the same year, he joined the team of the Ukrainian co-founding IT company Genesis after participating in Genesis IT School, which was one of the company’s first educational projects.

In six years, Oleksii has worked his way up from a Junior Specialist to a C-level manager at Genesis. Together with the team, he has developed an extensive ecosystem of educational projects from a single school, which stimulates the development of the product IT sector in Ukraine through education. Oleksii’s team systematically creates projects for employees, Ukrainian specialists, students and lecturers, as well as for IT entrepreneurs from Ukraine and other European countries. Over the entire period, more than 50 thousand Ukrainians have taken part in various educational projects of the company.

 In 2021, Oleksii co-founded the Product IT Foundation for Education, an NGO created by Genesis, Horizon Capital Fund and Kyiv School of Economics to develop IT education and implement the best practices of modern business education in the Ukrainian academic education system.

In 2022, Oleksii and the Genesis education team launched a system of All-Ukrainian educational courses for students on product IT in the format of a virtual internship. Thanks to the project, lecturers get acquainted with the specifics of the product IT business, integrate courses into the curricula of Ukrainian universities, and teach students using real-life cases of product IT companies. Over the past two years, more than 12,500 students have joined the courses based on the materials of the All-Ukrainian courses. The project is implemented in cooperation with the Product IT Foundation for Education and EdEra online education studio, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The partners of the courses are Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) and Horizon Capital.
