Kseniia Smyrnova

Doctor of Law, professor at the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, chairman of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Institute of International Studies.

From November 2000 to September 2005 – practicing lawyer.

From October 2005 to August 2006, she was a senior lecturer at the Department of Foreign Policy and International Law (Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine).

Since September 2006, she has held the positions of: assistant, associate professor (Department of Comparative and European Law, Taras Shevchenko KNU IMV). The academic title of docent was awarded in July 2011.

In 2015, she defended her doctoral thesis “Legal order of competition in the European Union (latest development trends)”.

Since October 2016, he has been the head of the Scientific and Methodological Commission of the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.

Since 2017, she is a professor at the Department of Comparative and European Law (IMV of Taras Shevchenko KNU). The academic title of professor was awarded in 2019.

She completed an internship at universities in EU countries (Germany, France, Poland) and the USA. Worked as a guest lecturer at foreign universities (EU countries, Great Britain, Turkey, China (Hong Kong), etc.).

Head of the European Union Law Section of the Jean Monet Center of Excellence of Taras Shevchenko National University of Ukraine.

The author of about 200 scientific and educational and methodological works. Scientific supervisor of 4 candidates of legal sciences and doctors of philosophy.

Honorable mention of the High Council of Justice (2012). Thanks of the Prime Minister of Ukraine (2017). Diploma of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University (2017). Thanks to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2019).

Since 2017, she has been a member of the Scientific Expert Council of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. Since August 2019, she has been a member of the Commission on Legal Reform under the President of Ukraine.
