Volodymyr Virchenko

Volodymyr Virchenko is a ScD in Economics, Associate Professor, Laureate of the President of Ukraine Award for Young Scientists, Head of the Department of International Economics at the Faculty of Economics, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He is the author of more than 140 scientific and educational works on current trends in the development of the global intellectual property market and the contribution of intellectual property commercialization into the companies global competitiveness and the national economy as a whole. Expert of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, Associate Member of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Head of the Interdisciplinary Analytical Centre of social economic mental health analysis at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Volodymyr Virchenko combines extensive experience in expert analysis and research project management in the academic and non-governmental sectors. In 2020–2023, he managed 3 research projects and 4 grant projects of the International Foundation “Vidrodzhennia” with the financial support of the Swedish government, participated in the preparation and conduct of 11 field studies, including large-scale sociological surveys on a national scale, and prepared recommendations in the field of public policy for state and local authorities, namely State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ministry of Health of Ukraine, National Health Service of Ukraine, the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, and the Kyiv City Administration.
