Paradigmatic Shifts in 21st-Century Economic Theory

The research section “Paradigmatic Shifts in 21st-Century Economic Theory” brings together representatives of the academic and educational communities, public authorities responsible for economic governance, experts, and the business community. Its purpose is to facilitate reflection, discussion, and the identification of solutions to the pressing challenges of ensuring the resilient functioning of Ukraine’s economy under martial law, as well as its modernization-driven recovery and development in the post-war period.
Presentations by speakers, panel discussions, exchanges of views, and scholarly debates will focus on the following key thematic areas:
• paradigmatic frameworks for analyzing the resilience of economic systems amid the contemporary global polycrisis;
• theoretical and practical dimensions of innovation-driven modernization of Ukraine’s economy and economic policy in the context of wartime challenges and global uncertainty;
• contemporary trends in foundational economics education: problems, challenges, and transformations.
Within this thematic framework, the key paradigmatic foundations of 21st-century economic theory should provide a common conceptual and methodological basis for a shared vision, expert analytical assessments, strategic priorities and economic policy measures, and modeling key politico-economic processes, their institutional frameworks, and principal drivers of implementation.
Participants are invited to engage in productive scholarly discussion, coordinate their analytical efforts, and exchange practical experience in public administration and economic policy implementation. The section will provide a platform for developing research-based, practice-oriented recommendations on the identified thematic areas.
